You are going to have to be good at that well known saying Find A Hungry Crowd, this is the key to being successful at niche marketing and you are going to need to target your efforts towards those hungry crowds enticing them to buy from you. The more specific you can make your keywords the more likely you are to find niche buyers. What is the secret to being a successful online entrepreneur ? well top of the list would come niche marketing think small, in order to make those big dollar figures going deep is the expression used to find those hungry crowds, but even so it still has to be worth your efforts, so really there is no point marketing the one eyed wombat if there is no-one looking for one eyed wombats. I jest but you get my drift don’t you? Niche marketing takes some time and effort but without it you don’t have a business the global economy is vast and diverse.

What we are really trying to find is a niche that has a lot of hungry buyers looking to purchase with not too much competition, so some one typing in a general question is likely to be just browsing but the person who types in the more specific phrases knows what they are looking for and are probably looking to buy. Now when we do our research we will also need to know not just how many sites we are competing against but how serious the competition is and Google’s new keyword finder allows you to see those sites that are serious competition with back links coming in to them from high ranking sites. It will be a good idea to find out not only how many sites you are competing against but also those with strong In Anchor And Text (IAAT) as it’s known so you can get a really good idea of just how strong your competition is as you are going to want to see a good return on your investment.

What we need to know is that there is not too much competition but that indeed there is some competition, a subject that has little to no competition is not one that has many buyers and we are back to the one eyed wombat!
It is necessary to uncover those phrases that are getting a high amount of searches on but are not in a highly competitive arena. This is what is called Niche Marketing.
A search for horses’ saddles is a general search and returns over four million results this will be too broad a term for us. Some one searching for quality hand made saddles is a bit more focused in their search but it still returns over four million in results and again is too broad a phrase for us. Some one searching for Barnsby Saddles, knows exactly what they are looking for, will have their credit card to hand and will be in a buying mood.
You will need to get quite skilled at keyword research but once you are, it becomes easy to target the keyword phrases that will bring targeted traffic money in hand to your website. Lets face it marketing is all about selling and selling is all about appealing to the right buyers. In order to find those right people you are going to have to become skilled at keyword research. One you have found your keywords, you are going to need to create a new page or post on your blog using those keywords in your title. You are going to need to do your optimizing in order to get those keywords picked up by the search engines and then you will need to work on your SEO off page to build up a network of quality back links. Monetize your post or page by adding your affiliate links, then watch to see your efforts rewarded with healthy sales.
